For more information please visit healthy-family-research.org Lippold's research focuses on three areas: (1) the role that parent-youth relationships play in the prevention of adolescent substance use, delinquency, and mental health challenges; (2) family stress and coping and its implication for child and parent mental, physical, and behavioral health; and (3) influences on parenting behavior. This research informs the development of family-based interventions to strengthen family relationships and promote the well-being of adolescents and their parents. She is currently an Associate Professor and Prudence and Peter Meehan Early Career Distinguished Scholar in The School of Social Work at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a faculty fellow of the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute. In addition, she serves as a national co-lead for one of the Social Work Grand Challenges, to ensure healthy development for youth, and is a member of the steering committee for the Coalition for the Promotion of Behavioral Health. |
